Hyderabad: A BMW 7 series car (TS09 ES 6666) with a tag ‘ESI member’ above the number plate has run up pending penalties of Rs 14,985, but its ownership is unclear. The vehicle has been penalised 11 times from May 1, 2017, to September 14 this year for speeding.
A check on the registration number led to ‘4 Wheel Travels, MSINA’. When contacted, the travel agency denied its ownership.
The Employees State Insurance Corporation has denied any of its employees had such an expensive car. Sources say, 13 ESI members were nominated for the state board.
