ATM conman rounded up in Kakinada

When the customers went out from the ATM centre, he withdrew cash from using the original card.

Kakinada: Sarpavaram police arrested a man for cheating ATM users to the extent of Rs 45,000 and seized two ATM cards and malls cards from him.

According to Sarpavaram CI D.S. Chaitanya Krishna, K. Rambabu of Pithapuram wait for ATM centres and deceive bank customers who didn’t know how to use ATM’s properly.

He chose such customers and took their cards and PIN number. Then he used his duplicate card and told the customers that their card was not functioning.

When the customers went out from the ATM centre, he withdrew cash from using the original card. Mr Chaitanya Krishna said that the person gives cards to the customers, issued by the different malls. He said that one case at Pithapuram and two cases at Sarpavaram police station limits were registered.
