Andhra Pradesh: 300 cadets to take part in NCC camp

The camp is being organised at Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya in Peddapuram.

Kakinada: As many as 300 National Cadet Corps candidates from 20 states and 7 Union Territories participated in Special National Integration Camp organised by Kakinada unit from October 5 to 16. The camp is being organised at Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya in Peddapuram. Group Commander Col. L.C.S. Naidu told reporters that the camp will hold individual and group competitions, along with educational and industrial tours and community development activities. Mr Naidu also said that participants will take part in activities like a ‘Day at Sea’ on two Indian Naval Warships in Bay of Bengal among others.

He said that every year six SNICs are conducted one each in Leh for Northern Region, Dimapur for Eastern Region, Jaisalmer for Western Region and Kakinda for Southern India and other two SNICs are conducted in Island one each at Port Blair and Lakshadweep. He said that this camp will introduce cadets to a regimented and military way of approach.
