Telangana: First batch of 335 pilgrims back from Haj
Syed Omar Jaleel, secretary, minorities' welfare department, said 4,900 pilgrims from TS, AP and Karnataka had gone on Haj.
Hyderabad: The first flight carrying 335 Haj pilgrims back home in Telangana state landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad early on Wednesday. The chartered flight landed 40 minutes before schedule.
While receiving pilgrims, deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali congratulated them on fulfilling their lifetime desire of performing Haj.
Mr Syed Omar Jaleel, secretary, minorities’ welfare department, said 4,900 pilgrims from TS, AP and Karnataka had gone on Haj.
Prof. S.A. Shukoor, special officer, TS Haj Committee said the pilgrimage was peaceful but for the death of two pilgrims due to natural causes.
