Hyderabad: Lions Clubs International Dist. 320A in association with the government’s department of language and culture and the TS Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) said they had initiated the process to select winners of the Grand Ganesh Awards.
The awards will be given to the gated communities which had installed the
most eco-friendly Ganesh idols and hosted community integration activities
this year.
The jury comprising Lions Club of Hyderabad Yuva and independent members
visited gated communities in Hitec City, Kondapur and KPHB on Monday to rate
the pandals. The communities are classified into two categories, those with
500 families and more and the ones with less than 500 families. Awards are
given in nine different criteria.
The nine awards are for most innovative concept, best décor, most culturally
active society, best prasadam seva, safest community, most environment
friendly community, best sustainable concepts, most digitally active society
and most resident friendly community. Apart from these, the overall winner
will be announced on September 11, a press release said.
