Withdraw GO 64, students tell CM N Chandrababu Naidu

Following the support of Mr Kalyan to Agricultural varsity students the government initiated damage control.

Vijayawada: Agriculture students on Tuesday met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu along with Srikakulam MP K. Rammohan Naidu and urged him to scrap GO 64.

Earlier, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had demanded the TD government withdraw GO 64 and continue with GO 16 following protests by students of the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University.

Mr Kalyan had said on August 29 that the students qualified from Indian Council of Agricultural Research should be posted as agricultural officers or else students from other colleges will impact the farmers and their families.

Following the support of Mr Kalyan to Agricultural varsity students the government initiated damage control.

Tuesday’s meeting was a fallout of this exercise. As part of this exercise, Mr Rammohan Naidu accompanied the agricultural students and presented their point of view to Mr Chandrababu Naidu.

The Jana Sena chief had expressed the hope that the TD government will understand the repercussions of GO 64.
