Bengaluru: Congress MLA Vijayananda Kashappanavar attended the City Civil Politicians Court on Monday in connection with pub attack case.
The lawmaker was accused of attacking policemen attached to Cubbon Park police station in Sky Bar when they questioned him on late night celebrations.
The incident took place in Sky bar in UB City on July 7, 2014. The police allege that liquor was being served to Kashappanavar and his gang of friends even after 1.30 am.
The Cubbon Park police got wind of this and rounded off the bar. The cops were attacked when they tried to videograph the goings-on. Enraged by this, Kashappanavar along with his friends attacked the policemen.
A case was lodged against him with Cubbon Park police station. Later, Kashappanavar had obtained bail order from the court. He appeared before the court to record the statements of witnesses in this connection.
