Hyderabad: Father-son killed in accident

He tried to outrun an RTC bus but couldn't see the bike coming parallel to the bus.

Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy and his father, hailing from Rajasthan were killed in a road accident when the bike they were travelling was hit by a lorry at Alair on Saturday night. The accident took place in Alair when Bura Ram Chaudhary, 29, and his son Kushwant, 4, were heading home on a bike.

Ram, a native of Rajasthan was running a Mathaji grocery store near the railway station in Alair. His son Kushwant is an LKG student in a private school. On Saturday night, he was returning home after closing his shop.

On their way home, a speeding lorry loaded with sand, which was heading from Warangal to Hyderabad, hit the bike from the rear.Both father and son were flung into the air and fell on the road and died on the spot. The lorry driver fled from the scene along with the vehicle.

The bodies were recovered and handed over to Ram’s family after conducting an autopsy at Alair area hospital on Sunday. “A case has been registered under Section 304 A of IPC, and an investigated is on,” said Alair sub-inspector Venkat Reddy.
