Vruksha prasadam greets Adilabad temple devotees

The Nampalli Laxminarasi-mha Swamy temple has been adopted by the Vemulawada Rajanna temple.

Adilabad: Hundreds of devotees who visited the Nampalli Laxminarasimha Swamy temple were given ‘Vruksha Prasadam’ (sapling prasadam) along with the traditional prasadam in Vemulawada on Saturday.

Vruksha Prasadam was distributed to nearly 5,000 devotees as part of the third phase of Haitha Haram programme. The Nampalli Laxminarasi-mha Swamy temple has been adopted by the Vemulawada Rajanna temple.

The temple authorities have decided to distribute saplings including ‘Devatha Vrukshalu’ (God’s trees) and fruit saplings to devotees along with prasadam after they have the darshan of Nam-palli Narasimha Swamy, 2 km from the Vemulawada Rajanna temple.

A few days ago, the Vemulawada Rajanna temple authorities had distributed saplings to the devotees visiting the temple.

Speaking to DC, Exec-utive officer of the temple Doosa Rajeshwar said that most of the devotees felt that the saplings distributed at the temple were sacred and promised to protect them till they become trees.

He said that they were planning to distribute more saplings with the help of forest department to devotees in the coming days at the Vemulawada temple.

Local MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh and forest officials distributed the Vruksha Prasadam to the devotees.
