Hyderabad: Karimnagar BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving Rs 2,146 crore for expanding the National Highway-563 between Karimnagar and Warangal. Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the project on July 8 during his visit to Warangal. The expansion of the two-lane road into four lanes aims to reduce travel time and minimise accidents on the route.
The project is part of the Bharatmala initiative. The land acquisition process for the road, covering an area of 325.125 hectares, has been completed and compensation payments to landowners are nearing completion.
Additionally, five bypass roads will be constructed as part of the expansion. Bandi Sanjay has actively pursued this road expansion and has held meetings with Modi and senior officials to expedite the project's approval.
