Budget 2019: Jobless Condemn proposals

They asked the Centre as to how it would help AP to develop without announcing any benefits in its Budget.

VIJAYAWADA: Unemployed youth from Andhra Pradesh has flayed the Centre for not announcing any benefits to AP in the Union Budget presented in Parliament on Friday.

AP Unemployed Youth Joint Action Committee state president S. Hemanth Kumar found fault with the Centre for failing to announce Special Category Status to AP and also for not sanctioning a railway zone, with Visakhapatnam as the headquarters. He turned critical for not sanctioning funds for the execution of Polavaram project and also State Capital Amaravati. They asked the Centre as to how it would help AP to develop without announcing any benefits in its Budget.

However, the unemployed youth appreciated the Centre for allowing them to write bank exams to be conducted by the Centre, in states, using mother tongue.

Referring to the hike in prices of petrol and diesel to the extent of Rs 1, they urged the State Government to hold talks with the Centre to get tax concession on fuel in the state to bring down the additional burden on fuels and to provide relief to the vehicle users.
