Srivari hundi in Tirumala gets Rs 100 crore collection in June
TIRUPATI: There was a record collection on the hundi in the month of June, 2019 reaching Rs 100 crore in Tirumala apart while a total of 24.66 lakh pilgrims were registered who had darsh-an of Lord Venkateswara during the month.
The month of June saw a marked improvement in the figures as compared to the figures of June last in every area, be it distribution of laddus, serving of annaprasadam, tonsuring, etc.While 24.10 lakh pilgrims had darshan of Lord during June-2018, this year an additional 2.56 lakh pilgrims had darshan. Srivari Hundi collected during June last year stood at Rs 91.81 crore last June. This year it has crossed the magic figure taking the total to Rs 100.37 crore.
In other areas, annapra-sadam was served to 64.05 lakh pilgrims last June while this year about 71.02 lakh pilgrims have been served. About 95.58 lakh laddus were distributed last year while this year the figure has been recorded as 1.13 crore.
Meanwhile, this June 12.88 lakh tonsures were recorded as against 11.90 lakhs during last year June. The occupancy rate of accommodation also recorded a percentage of 107 per cent this June aga-inst 106 percent during the June month last year.
