Missing techie: SIT submits report to Karnataka High Court

The court after perusing the records submitted by the CID, has orally observed that there is some progress in the investigation.

Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday submitted the records of the investigation with regard to the missing case of Kumar Ajitabh before the High Court.

Ajitabh (29), a city-based software engineer, went missing after he had gone to show his car to a prospective buyer. He had earlier posted an advertisement in an e-commerce.

The court after perusing the records submitted by the CID, has orally observed that there is some progress in the investigation.

The court also directed that the investigation records be kept in a sealed cover in the custody of Registrar (Judicial).

Meanwhile the petitioner's advocate submitted that the parents of the missing person are worried as they do not have any information about the developments and it has been over six months since Ajitabh went missing.

The court orally assured that if it has the slightest of doubt in the investigation, then it will transfer the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

The court has adjourned the matter to July 31.
