Bengaluru: A 48-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstance at her residence in Siddapura police station limits on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Riyana Bhanu, a homemaker and wife of Syed Irshad. The couple has a 27-year-old son, who works as a mechanic.
Bhanu’s parents allege foul play as she had sustained injuries on her head. According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday night and it came to light early Thursday when her mother came to her house.
Riyana’s mother immediately alerted the local police. The police said that when the complainant came to visit Riyana, there was nobody at home.
She told police that the couple use to fight frequently over trivial issues and suspects that her son-in-law might have killed her. The police interrogated Riyana’s husband who claimed that she was suffering from epilepsy and might have fallen to death. He claimed that he was at his shop when the incident took place. The Siddapura police have registered a case and are awaiting post-mortem report.
