Monsoon to hit Kerala on june 8

Kerala is predicted to receive the Southwest monsoon on June 8, here Telangana will experience consecutive heat wave conditions till June 9.

Hyderabad: The onset of the South West Monsoon in Kerala, which was predicted to make its landing on June 6 is now very likely to be delayed till June 8, as per the prediction of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). For Telugu states, IMD predicts that Andhra Pradesh might receive rains on June 11 and Telangana state is expected to get it on June 13, as per the IMD.

While Kerala is predicted to receive the Southwest monsoon on June 8, here TS will experience consecutive heat wave conditions till June 9. The public have been advised not to expose themselves directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions.

For Telugu states, IMD predicts that Andhra Pradesh might receive rains on June11and Telangana is expected to get rains on June 13, as per the IMD. While Kerala is predicted to receive the Southwest monsoon on June 8, here Telangana will experience consecutive heat wave conditions till June 9. The public have been advised not to expose themselves directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions.

However, the warning is confined to Northern Telangana region, “Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets over North Telangana.”

Mr Mahesh Phalawat from Skymet weathers stated that as of now, the state was getting northwesterly winds which were hot via Vidarbha, which is making the temperatures rise.

The state recorded a maximum of 44.8 degrees celsius in Adilabad district, and heat wave conditions prevailed in isolated pockets in the same district.

Even the city’s temperature also remained at 40.5 degrees celsius, deviating four degrees from the normal.
