Hyderabad: An eight-year-old boy was injured on his head and hands in an attack by a stray dog in Medipally on Friday. He is out of danger.
Sources said Nagaraj, son of daily wage earners Ramesh and Laxmi, was playing at his home with his younger brother and came on to the road when the dog attacked him.
Neighbours who heard him shouting rushed to his rescue and drove away the dog. The Class I student was bitten on his head and hands.
He was taken to a nearby private hospital, where doctors administered three stitches on his head. Also on Friday, seven-year-old P. Rohith was bitten by stray dogs in Vanasthalipuram.
