Tamil Nadu CM launches Rs 17 crore drinking water projects
Chennai: In a relief to residents of western Tamil Nadu and as part of the Chennai infrastructure development work, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami- has inaugurated drinking water augment projects to a tune of '17 crore.
He also unveiled civic schemes to an estimate of Rs 9 crore aimed at improving infrastructure in Chennai corporation city limits.
The CM inaugurated the new overhead water storage facilities aimed to cater to the Udumlapet municipal area at a cost of '15 crore.
He also inaugurated new buildings, parks, primary health centers and school buildings constructed by the Chennai, Vellore, Tiruppur and Tuticorin corporations. In Chennai 20 new parks mostly renovated in Central Chennai were inaugurated and smart classrooms were also thrown open for the students in Chennai.
Six massive parks constructed in Ennore and northern suburbs developed at a cost of Rs 5.60 crore were also declared open. According to a press release Palaniswami inaugurated civic projects to a tune of Rs 57 crore.
Local administration minister S. P. Velumani and chief secretary Girija Vaidyanthan were also present during the inaugural function.
