Hyderabad High Court stalls nurses appointment
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice was dealing with a batch of petitions challenging the the state government decision.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has directed the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) not to make appointments till June 5 as per notifications issued to recruit staff-nurses, civil assistant surgeons and engineers in TS Transco by giving weightage marks to contract and outsourcing employees in appointments.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice K. Vijaya Lakshmi was dealing with a batch of petitions challenging the state government decision.
It maintained that the law does not permit awarding of weightage marks to contract and outsourcing employees and that it will hamper the chances of other candidates.
