Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in the textile godown of RS Brothers located opposite SR Nagar fire station on Saturday morning.
Three fire tenders and 12 water tankers were rushed to the spot to control the fire that broke out at 4.45 am. Officials said short-circuit might have been the cause of the fire.
A part of the godown, which had women's garments like sarees, dress material etc., got completely burnt while another part remained unaffected. The store management have yet to submit details of the loss suffered, said SR Nagar fire officer Md. Mustafa.
The godown had the necessary fire equipment like extinguishers hydrant machines which helped control the blaze. Guards at the establishment also helped out in the operation, fire officials said. Three fire officers, two district fire officers and 32-member crew battled the massive blaze and put it out in about five hours.
