YSRC activist dies after Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rally

According to sources, the stampede occurred after Mr Reddy left the venue.

Tirupati: An activist was killed after a campaign meeting of YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kuppam Assembly constituency, from where Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is contesting, in Chittoor district on Friday.

According to sources, the stampede occurred after Mr Reddy left the venue. The large number people who had gathered for the meeting tried to leave the venue in a hurry when the incident occurred.

A YSRC activist, Betrayudu, the former sarpanch of Pedduru, was found unconscious. Party activists rushed him to a nearby hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
