Hyderabad: An overspeeding truck rammed into a stationary truck intercepted by the patrolling teams, leading to the death of one person and damaging three vehicles including the patrolling vehicle on the ORR on Thursday. The victim was identified as Syed Saleem, the cleaner of the truck that rammed into the parked truck. In another accident at Aramghar under the Mailardevpally police station limits, an employee of the horticulture department M. Narsing Rao died after an unknown vehicle hit his bike.
According to Adibatla police, patrolling teams noticed a truck carrying calves and intercepted the vehicle on ORR. The truck driver halted on the road and alighted from the vehicle to talk to the cops. Few minutes later, another truck carrying a load of electric poles rammed into the parked truck .
“Usually while intercepting any vehicle on ORR, we fix indications to avoid mishaps. But this mishap occurred before any precaution could have been taken,” an official said.
