Ohri's Hotel gets notice for sewer link
Hyderabad: Ohri’s Hotel at Banjara Hills was served a show-cause notice by the GHMC health department on Tuesday for letting out sewerage water on the road. Central Zone deputy commissioner Samrat Ashok said, “Following complaints from the public, officials from the health and sanitation wing and the local corporator visited Ohri’s Hotel on Tuesday. We found that the hotel authorities had let out sewerage water on the road. We also found unhygienic conditions in the hotel’s kitchen. A show-cause notice was issued to the hotel authorities as the act had caused public nuisance.”
On a separate issue, a criminal case was booked against Mr Muralidhar Guptha, former assistant medical health officer of circle 14, GHMC, for irregularities found in sanitation works. The case was registered in the Kukatpally police station. Officials found Ohri’s had let out sewerage on the road and unhygienic conditions in the kitchen.
