Hyderabad: 2 held for aiding cyber crime

The cyber crime sleuths who were probing the fraudulent transfer of Rd 83,994 from the bank account (Andhra Bank) of a city resident.

Hyderabad: Two from West Bengal have been arrested by the Hyderabad cyber crime police for helping the fraudsters who were siphoning money from the bank accounts of public on the pretext updating their bank account details.

The cyber crime sleuths who were probing the fraudulent transfer of Rd 83,994 from the bank account (Andhra Bank) of a city resident, have identified the bank accounts and e-commerce wallets that are used to transfer the money and apprehended Gulshan Kumar Chandrakar and Pankaj Sharma of Adra town in West Bengal.

Police said that the probe revealed that the accused were helping the gang that was impersonating as bank employees and making calls to customers to collect the card details.
