A fire broke out in the working women's hostel (Safe Hands Ladies Hostel) near Asilmetta Junction under III Town Police station limits in Vizag city at around 1.30 am on Saturday.
Hyderabad: A family comprising a woman, her son and daughter, succumbed to burn injuries after she lit a stove without noticing that the gas was leaking.
The deceased were identified as Binod Devi, Ankit Kumar Katiwal, 7, and Susheela Kumari, 4.
“We have shifted the body to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem, and have launched an investigation into the case to know the exact cause of the fire,” said an investigating officer from Shahniyatgunj police station.
The police also claimed that they have booked a case under 304(A) which relates to accident related issues.
