Hyderabad: Two students killed in 2 accidents

Other students said that the bus drivers never stop in the bay and never wait till everyone boards the bus before driving off.

Hyderabad: Two students were killed in different accidents at Ghatkesar and Cyberabad on Monday. At Ghatkesar, an engineering student was run over by an RTC bus while he was attempting to board the bus. In another accident, a class VI student died after being hit by a private college bus at Medchal. The deceased were identified as Vikas Reddy and Gadhe Vamshi.

Vikas Reddy (19), a resident of Dammaiguda was studying first year engineering at Anurag Engineering College at Aushapur village that falls in the jurisdiction of Ghatkesar police station limits.

On Monday evening, after college, all the students arrived at the bus stop at Aushapur village. When an RTC bus heading towards Secunderabad arrived, the students rushed to board the bus. And when the bus started, a few students were left behind and Vikas was among them. In an attempt to hurriedly board the moving bus, he lost his balance and fell down and came under the left rear wheel of the bus. The bus ran over his head, killing him on the spot.
