Jerusalem Mathaiah, an accused in the cash-for-vote case, got himself admitted in a private hospital at Narsaraopet in Guntur on Saturday.
Namakkal: The Namakkal flying squad conducted a surprise vehicle check on Saturday evening and seized Rs 80,000 from AIADMK functionary Gnanprakasam, travelling in a car carrying the party flag.
He has been asked to take back the money after producing valid documents. Meanwhile, the Kerala police seized ‘hawala money’ of Rs 60 lakh on the outskirts of Coimbatore, allegedly taken by some Maharashtrian youths for Kerala Assembly polls.
