Chamba: Missing bodies of two Pathankot Air Force officers fished out

The duo was part of a group of five who had come for a picnic to Chamba.

Chamba: The bodies of two Pathankot Air Force unit officers, who were drowned in the Ravi river in Chamba Saturday evening, had been fished out on Sunday.

The duo was part of a group of five who had come for a picnic to Chamba. The victims were washed away while taking photographs due to sudden rise in the water in the river.

"Five Air force unit officers had come for a picnic. Later on, we got to know that two people have been washed away in river Ravi," Virender Tomar, Superintendent of Police, Chamba, told ANI.

He said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem to the district hospital and the due process will be carried out.

Along with the police, air force officials were also involved in the rescue and search operations. However, due to heavy water current, they had to face a lot of difficulties.
