Bengaluru: Man trying to abuse minor arrested
Bengaluru: The Sanjay Nagar police arrested a 25-year-old construction worker while he was caught red-handed trying to undress a four-year-old girl in Central Excise Layout on Thursday.
According to police, the accused identified as Gandher, a native of Odisha, was caught by the victim's parents while he was removing the victim’s clothes in an under-construction building.
The parents, who hail from Ballari, were working as construction workers and residing at an under-construction building in Sanjay Nagar. On Thursday, the accused, who also worked in the same building, noticed the girl playing. He took the girl to a corner of the building and began undressing her. The victim's mother, who happened to notice the incident, raised an alarm.
Other labourers came and noticed the accused with the victim. They immediately caught hold of him and thrashed him before handing him over to the police.
The accused was booked under several sections of POCSO and further investigations are underway. He has been arrested and has been remanded in judicial custody, said the police.
