Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asks centre to seek more time from UAE
He said that UAE government may be urged to put on hold the implementation of the new norm for at least six months.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has urged the Centre to seek relaxations from the UAE government on the fresh norm mandating police clearance certificate for job visas in UAE.
In a letter to Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said that the UAE government may be urged to put on hold the implementation of the new norm for at least six months so that a foolproof system for issuing the clearance certificate could be introduced. He also said that the swift implementation of the new norm could also lead to rackets of travel agents supplying police clearance certificates illegally.
