EC electoral rolls: Telangana has 3.03 crore voters

ECI released the final electoral rolls on Wednesday after undertaking special summary revision 2022 of electoral rolls across the state

Hyderabad: The number of voters in Telangana have increased to 3.03 crore as per the final electoral rolls released by Election Commission of India on Wednesday after undertaking special summary revision 2022 (SSR) of electoral rolls across the state. However, there has been only an increase of little over 200 voters in SSR 2022 when compared to last year's SSR.

The total number of voters in the state now stands at 3,03,56,894 against 3,03,56,665 in 2021. Of them, male voters comprise 1,52,56,474 and female voters 1,50,98,685. While 2,27,226 new voters were enrolled, another 2,26,997 were deleted from the voters list for various reasons such as deaths and relocating to other places.

The figure of third gender voters is at 1,735. The enrolled voters are at 1,36,496 while there are 14, 661 service voters. The number of voters in the 18-19 age-group are 1,36,496.

Hyderabad district has highest number of voters at 43,67,020, followed by Rangareddy (31,60,455), Medchal Malkajgiri (26,00,008), Nalgonda
(13,58,185), Nizamabad (13,15,026), Khammam (11,34,286) and Karimnagar (10,10,640). All other districts have voters below 10 lakh each. There are 34,867 polling booths spread over 119 Assembly constituencies.
