Robot quizzes Tharoor at future seminar
Thiruvananthapuram: Shashi Tharoor, MP, experienced a strange encou-nter at a seminar organised by the International Foundation for Futuristic Education and Research and All India Professional Congress on the subject of new approaches to education in the 21st century. If usually Mr. Tharoor is confronted by the journalists, this time it was a robot, Inker who posed its questions before him.
Inker posed questions about the atrocities against the media and the prevalent violence being experienced in the state. Mr. Tharoor said that he is against the hartal and urged that the attacks against the media should be discouraged. When Inker asked Mr. Tharoor about who is going to be the next Prime Minister, he said; “There is an opposing trend against BJP in the society where there will be a democratic united front coming at the helm. Congress president Rahul Gandhi will become the next Prime Minister”.
Inker also questioned Mr. Tharoor about his controversial long word, "hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia" he had posted recently in his Facebook. The robot asked him to shorten his words. Tharoor then answered that the word means 'fear of long words' and said that fear is not good for people as well as robots. Dr. Roshy John who is a robotic expert and Robotics and Cogni-tive Systems global head (Tata Consultancy Servic-es) made his presentation in the same platform.
