Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Saturday seale four hotels for not setting up bulk compost units within the stipulated time prescribed by the civic body. As per the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, all establishments generating bulk garbage of 100 kg and above every day have to install compost machines in the premises to process the wet waste.
The civic body also issued several notices to these establishments on installing on-site compost machines but most continued to ignore the norms and the instructions of the GHMC.
Against this backdrop, the corporation seized four restaurants including Green Bawarchi, Gumagumalu in Kukatpally circle and Kohinoor and Arabian Mandi in Moosapet circle.
