BMRCL, KIADB duped me: Realtor

Kumar further said that the company was paying all the taxes since the land got registered in its name.

Bengaluru: A real estate company Skylark Realty Pvt. Ltd has accused Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) and Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) of cheating by illegally acquiring a portion of the companly’s land and providing compensation for the same to another businessman.

The director of the company, Alok Kumar, has lodged a complaint with Begur police and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against BMRCL, KIADB and a businessman S.N. Mahadev from whom the company purchased the land in 2011.

According to the complaint, the company had purchased 34 guntas of land in survey 109 and two acres and five guntas in survey 109/1 in Bengur Hobli. The deal was executed on September 29, 2011.

Kumar further said that the company was paying all the taxes since the land got registered in its name. But recently, the government agencies acquired 325 metre land, without any prior information, for the metro rail project and the BMRCL and KIADB officials sanctioned the compensation amount to Mahadev, the previous owner of the land.

By doing so, the agencies are hand in glove with Mahadev cheating the company to the tune of '6 crore, Kumar wrote in the complaint.

He further accused that Mahadev created fake documents of the land on his name and fraudulently claimed compensation amount, while we have the original land documents with us and we are the real owners.

Kumar alleged that Mahadev was a serial offender and after selling the same land to his company, he had fraudulently sold 14 sites to other people.

Begur police have registered a case and are on the lookout for Mahadev, who is absconding. The investigation is underway.
