Over 50,000-70,000 people are attending every public meeting and the different packets distributed to them for consumption are leading to piling up of plastic.

In Mahabubabad, the plastic covers left at the venue of the public meeting in BC colony are creating a lot of trouble to the road users. The packets, light in weight, are flying on to the road and even obstructing the vicinity of the motorists.

The authorities should ask the people holding public meetings to clear the garbage as well, said Md Saleema, who runs an NGO, Nenusaitham.
