Telangana techies warn Nandamuri Balakrishna over remark
Hyderabad: Telangana Information Technology Association complained to EC condemning the derogatory remarks made by the TD leader Nandamuri Balakrishna as part of their political campaign. As per TITA, “TD chief Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks that only because of him IT has come to Hyderabad and N. Balaksrihna’s derogatory comments that ‘Telangana people who didn’t even know the spelling of IT were taught the definition of IT by Naidu’ are unacceptable.”
Meanwhile, at multiple road shows in Kukatpally and Fatehnagar Balakrishna lambasted the TRS alleging that it was trying to bring back feudal rule in Telangana.
He made this remark while campaigning for Nandamuri Suhasini, Kukatpally MLA aspirant contesting on the TDP ticket at Bowenpally on Tuesday.
Mr Balakrishna alleged that the four and a half years of TRS rule had resulted in revenue-surplus Telangana being pushed into debts.
The Hindupur MLA said that the development made during TDP’s tenure was evident. He said that party workers along with the people of Telangana would bring back the lost glory in the state.
Mr Balakrishna said that the TD took birth in the heart of Hyderabad and was everybody’s party and it was not confined to any caste or religion. “The TDP will stand for everyone whether it is in power or opposition. With two days left for elections, every party worker should work with commitment for the victory of People’s Front candidates,” he added.
Later in the evening, campaigning for People’s Front candidate, Kuna Srisailam Goud in Quthbullapur assembly constituency, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said only a few prominent people in the state were benefited through welfare schemes announced by the TRS government.
He said, that Hyderabad which was once acclaimed as one of the cleanest cities in the country had now turned dirty with garbage piled up in every nook and corner of the city.
“I brought investments from different parts of the world and developed the city. Did Chandrasekhar Rao in his four and a half rule come out to seek investments to develop the city? He has made a huge mistake by declaring the same candidates as MLAs who have a bad image and were out of public reach,” he pointed out. Mr Naidu said despite making such foolish decision, Chandrasekhar Rao was still confident of 90 plus seats in the election. “How can he join hands with the BJP which cheated both the Telugu-speaking states.”
Mr Naidu said that he would not rule Telangana if the People’s front was voted to power; rather would contribute to the development of the state.
Accusing the NDA government of harassing political rivals through agencies like the CBI and the Income Tax department, Chandrababu Naidu said he joined hands with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders to work in the national interest.
Naidu criticised the NDA government for demonetisation, ‘faulty implementation’ of GST and price rise and alleged that there was a feeling of insecurity. “Today, the government led by Narendra Modi in the country is indulging in attacking political rivals. They are harassing rivals as per will. If anyone questions, (they) send ED, CBI and Income tax,” he added.
