Hyderabad: Green channel helps doctors save life

Hyderabad: Once again, Hyderabad Traffic Police helped in saving precious lives by providing hassle free green channel to the ambulance carrying live organs on Tuesday.

The Hyderabad traffic cops arranged a Green Channel for transportation of the live organs (heart and lungs) from Gleneagles Global Hospitals Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. The live organs were transported to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.Under the green channel, the traffic police ensures that ambulance get traffic free roads.

 

The distance between Gleneagles Global Hospitals Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is 29 kilometres which was covered in 26 minutes.

Additional commissioner of police, traffic, Mr. Anil Kumar said, “The medical team carrying the live organs left at 2.58 am from Glene-agles Global Hospitals Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad and reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 3:24 am.”
