The accused, Abhishek, of Vaddarapalya was on the run after killing truck driver Keshav over a trivial issue on November 30.

Bengaluru: A 19-year-old murder accused was shot in the leg and arrested by the Hennur police when he tried to attack the police.
The accused, identified as Abhishek, a resident of Vaddarapalya, was on the run after killing a truck driver Keshav over a trivial row on November 30.
Based on a tip off, the police traced him near Hennur Bande. When one of the cops went to arrest him, Abhishek allegedly attacked him with a knife. The police had to open fire to neutralise and arrest him.
According to the police, Abhishek and his associates Dilip and Guru Brahma had a clash with Keshav during Ganesh procession in September.
Keshav had beaten up Abhishek in full public view. Later, Abhishek hatched a plan to kill Keshav and executed it on November 30 along with Guru Brahma.
The police picked Guru Brahma and during the interrogation he revealed on Abhishek’s whereabouts, following which a police team reached the spot and arrested him.
Abhishek, who sustained bullet injury on his left leg, was admitted to Victoria hospital and is said to be out of danger. Police constable Santosh, who was attacked by Abhishek, is being treated at a private hospital.
