AP Telugu Desam leaders campaign in Telangana
Vijayawada: The AP Congress has not been keen on participating in the Telangana election campaign since only a few leaders joined the Prajakutami election rallies. Telugu Desam leaders, on the other hand, have actively participated in the campaign ahead of the polls to the Telangana Assembly. AP chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the past seven days has been largely participating in the election campaigns by addressing public meetings and road shows.
TD leaders, K Kala Venkata Rao, N Rammohan Naidu, Kesineni Srinivas, K Subba Rayudu, B Veda Vyas, Yarapathineni Srinivas Rao, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Beeda Ravichandra Yadav, Prabhakar Chowdary, Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, Md Hidayath, Sk Lal Vazir and others have camped in various constituencies in Telangana, where people from Andhra Pradesh reside predominantly. They have worked hard to attract voters to the Telugu Desam.
The AICC had directed the AP Congress leaders to join the Telangana election campaign but APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy and only a few other leaders participated in the election campaign for the past three days.
AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot issued orders to AP Congress leaders directing them to join the Telangana election campaign in the support of Praja Kutami candidates. APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy, Gidugur Rudra Raju and several other leaders went to Telangana and were a part of the poll campaigns.
