Uttar Pradesh police go buffalo hunting again

A buffalo and her calf have gone missing from the farmhouse of former union minister Ram Lal Rahi in Sitapur district on Saturday night.

Lucknow: After a gap of three years, the Uttar Pradesh police is back to buffalo hunting again.

A buffalo and her calf have gone missing from the farmhouse of former union minister Ram Lal Rahi in Sitapur district on Saturday night.

The Sitapur police team searched the nearby Panchampurwa to check if the buffaloes had strayed somewhere but could not find them. DSP Yogendra Singh said teams have been told to survey all nearby villages.

In February 2014, during Akhilesh Yadav government’s regime, seven buffaloes of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan were stolen in Rampur district. The buffaloes were traced within three days.
