Massive procession planned for Jayalalithaa's death anniversary

T. T. V. Dhinakaran's group and also Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar would pay their tributes at the Marina memorial.

Chennai: The ruling AIADMK has planned to take out a mammoth procession in the city on Tuesday as a mark of respect to party supremo and late Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa who passed away on Dec.5 last year.

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy CM O. Panneerselvam will lead the AIADMK in taking out the procession and in paying floral tributes to Jayalalithaa who is hailed as “Puratchi thalaivi (revolutionary leader). Party’s legislators, MPs and cadres will join the procession slated to begin at 10 am from the Anna statue. After traversing the Wallajah Road, the members will reach Jayalalithaa’s memorial on the Marina and pay the floral tributes.

T. T. V. Dhinakaran’s group and also Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar accompanied by her supporters, too, would pay their tributes at the Marina memorial.
