It's leaders' kotlata for jobs: K T Rama Rao
Hyderabad: Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday alleged that the Opposition parties were playing ‘Shikandi politics’ with the help of a retired professor (TJAC Kodandaram) as they were unable to face the TRS directly. Addressing a public meeting after launching development programmes in Mahbubnagar, Mr Rama Rao lashed out at the Koluvulakai Kotlata held here on Monday.
He said the TJAC’s meeting was not “fight for jobs” for students but fight for jobs for politically unemployed leaders. “Why this Koluvulakai Kotlata now? For whose koluvu (job) are they fighting? Is it for koluvu to Jana Reddy or Jaipal Reddy?” he asked. He said the government was sincere and committed in its efforts to fill over one lakh vacancies as promised. There was some delay due to unexpected hurdles.
“Every-one knows who is going to courts and halting recruitment exams under one pretext or the other,” Mr Rama Rao said. He reiterated that the TRS government would fill 2,000 or 3,000 more posts than the 1.08 lakh jobs before 2019, in line with its promise in the Assembly. “We issued Teacher Recruitment Test notification to fill over 8,000 posts.
“Some persons filed cases challenging the notification issued for 31 new districts and argued that the old 10 districts be considered. The test got stuck and we are forced to issue a fresh notification.” The minister said the government had considered the new districts to protect the interests of aspirants in the backward districts.
