Shivamogga: In a gruesome road accident, three youths died on the spot and two got injured when a Maruti Omni hit a road side tree near Kumsi on Tumakuru-Honnavar National Highway (NH-206) in Shivamogga district early Sunday. According to police, the deceased have been identified as Jayadeva (24), Manjunath (27) and Dhanu (28). The trio are said to be the residents of Nelamangala of Bengaluru Rural District. The two injured - Radhakrishna (21) and Girisha (34) have been rushed to the Manipal hospital near Udupi for advanced treatment. Sources said the five people were on their way to Sigandur in Sagar taluk from Bengaluru. Kumsi police have registered a case.
