Hyderabad: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao termed the murder of mandal revenue officer Vijaya Reddy as the most inhuman attack while expressing grief over the incident, He said that the state government would ensure that the attacker faces severe punishment.
Ministers G, Jagadish Reddy, S. Niranjan Reddy, V. Srinivas Goud, V. Prashant Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, E. Dayakar Rao and A. Indrakaran Reddy and State Planning Board vice chairman B. Vinod Kumar condemned the murder.
Congress MPs A. Rev-anth Reddy and Kom-atireddy Venkat Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and senior leaders Shabbir Ali and V. Hanumantha Rao expressed grief over the killing of Vijaya Reddy.
Congress MLA D, Anasuya (Seetakka) termed the killing as “state provoked murder”. She alleged that the government had provoked the public against the revenue staff by branding them as thieves.
Congress MLA T. Jayaprakash ‘Jagga’ Reddy said employees unions were also to blame as they blindly supported the decisions taken by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
