BJP’s win a fluke, says KT Rama Rao
Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday said that the people of Huzurnagar had given a befitting answer to Opposition parties for their false propaganda regarding the recent byelection. “This victory is like a tonic which has brought in new energy into the party,” he said.
Mr Rama Rao said that the people had reposed their faith in Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s governance and leadership. The TRS victory was a testimony for the same, he told ministers, MLAs, MPs and other public representatives who worked at Huzurnagar.
He said the people have rejected the Congress in Huzurnagar which was their bastion and also the constituency of the state Congress president.
Talking about the BJP, he said that the victories registered by the party in the Lok Sabha elections in the state were just a fluke. “They don’t have any credibility among the people here,” Mr Rama Rao said.
He pointed out that an independent candidate whose election symbol looked similar to that of the TRS symbol had won more votes than the BJP candidate.
“We will show our gratitude to the people of Huzurnagar by fulfilling all the promises made by the TRS during the campaign,” he said.
Mr Rama Rao asked the MLAs to come up with a plan of action and take up the responsibility of leading the party towards victory in the upcoming municipal elections.
He thanked ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, G. Jagadish Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, election incharge Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Legis-lative Council member, and the party leaders and cadre for playing an important role in the party's victory.
