De-addiction counselling for motorists by police and NGOs in Telangana
A police official said 624 motorists had been counselled from August 30 to November 1.
Hyderabad: Rachakonda law and order and traffic police along with representatives from NGOs are conducting de-addiction counselling for motorists booked for drunken driving, with focus on those booked twice or more.
A police official said 624 motorists had been counselled from August 30 to November 1. The sessions are held for the motorist booked for drunk driving along with the family members on Tuesdays.
Of the 624 booked for drunk driving, 11 were repeat offenders. Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat said the initiative would help reduce accidents and the number of casualties.
