Law Varsity Signs MoU with APFPS

The MoU aims to establish a collaborative partnership

Visakhapatnam: The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society (APFPS) on Thursday. The APFPS serves as the central agency responsible for advancing the food processing industry in the state.

The MoU aims to establish a collaborative partnership. This partnership will focus on activities such as filing for geographical indications (GI) and creating a framework for sharing knowledge, expertise, and resources. The primary objective is to support and promote the registration of GI tags for various food products originating from Andhra Pradesh.

Additionally, the MoU encompasses plans for academic exchanges and awareness programs. These programs may include seminars, exhibitions, symposiums, workshops, and training sessions. The goal is to enhance understanding and awareness of intellectual property rights and food processing-related matters.

The MoU documents were exchanged between Dr. Jogi Naidu, Registrar of DSNLU, and authorities from the Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society. This event took place in the presence of Chiranjiv Choudhary, Principal Secretary, responsible for Agriculture Marketing, Cooperatives, Food Processing, Finance, and Human Resources.
