The KIIFB has sanctioned Rs 285.31 crore for the project, and the civil works went for tendering in May for Rs 150.74 crore. The PST was the lowest bidder quoting 14% below estimate at Rs 129.63 crore.
The environment-friendly building will have facilities for rainwater harvesting, a 300KW solar plant, 550 KLD sewage treatment plant with treated water reuse for the flush, a 3-metre-wide ramp with proper landing space, AC plant and landscaping. Centrally air-conditioned, it will have enough car parking space and power backup.
