Telugu Desam says People will drive TRS leaders out
HYDERABD: Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was under fire from all sections of society for his alleged failure to fulfill the aspirations of the people and was inciting passions and dividing the people, TS TD president L. Ramana said. He said the time had come to defeat Mr Rao and added that the grand alliance of the Congress, TDP, CPI, and TJS had gained immense support from the people.
He alleged that Mr Rao had the tacit support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. The TD would secure relief for the people and rescue them from the clutches of the four members of Mr Rao’s family, he said. Speaking at a media briefing on Thursday, he said that TRS leaders would be “chased out” for not fulfilling promises. The Kongara Kalan meet was a stark demonstration of the waning popularity of the CM, he said.
Asserting that he would not speak in the same tongue as Mr Rao, Mr Ramana said lowering of public discourse as done by the Chief Minister was undesirable.
Taking objection to Mr Rao’s offer of “throwing four seats to the TD if it asks me”, Mr Ramana said, “Elected seats are not charity and they have to be earned by gaining the support of people.”
