Harish Rao, K Chandrasekhar Rao put up show of unity
Hyderabad: Caretaker ministers K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, who were speculated upon as being arch-rivals, put up another show of unity and showered praises on each other on Thursday. Both the leaders said they grew up together like brothers and there were no differences whatsover between them. The two had earlier bonded in public during the one-day Legislative Council session.
Mr Harish Rao addressed a meeting of TRS activists from Sircilla constituency represented by Mr Rama Rao. Both the leaders claimed that they only competed on development of their constituencies and not for posts. They were among the lakhs of party activists and crores of people from Telangana who wanted Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao to be Chief Minister for the next 15 years, they said.
Mr Harish Rao said, “Siricilla constituency was earlier famous for suicides by debt-ridden weavers. But after KTR took over, it became famous for weavers earning the highest income in the country with the TRS government giving one crore Bathukamma sari manufacturing orders and placing all cloth orders of the government with them.”
