Kerala government to get legal opinion on solar

Cabinet was informed about the report which contains four volumes having 1073 pages.

Thiruvananthapuram: Cabinet on Wednesday decided to seek legal opinion on the report submitted by Justice G. Sivarajan Commission which probed the solar corruption case.

After getting the opinion of advocate general and director general of prosecution, the report would be formally placed before Cabinet for further action. Cabinet was informed about the report which contains four volumes having 1073 pages.

Other decisions

206 posts created in jail department: Cabinet decided to create 206 posts in the category of warders which will include 140 assistant prison officers, 58 deputy prison officers, six prison officers and two gate keepers.

It decided to implement Tenth Pay Commission award for employees of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment and related departments. The decision has been taken subject to the condition that the department will comply with the guidelines of the finance department.

Employees of Waqf board who attained super annuation before Feb.1, 2016 will be included in pension scheme.

Rs 20 L for civil police officer Praveen's family.
The officer, who was accompanying Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, died in an accident while on duty. The next of kin of Praveen would also be given employment.
